I had my usual Moroccan mussels but my wife had Sea Trout with asparagus risotto with some mussels. Wow chef, I hate risotto and am the customer from h@ll on fish. The dish was brilliant 10/10, go Michelin. Perhaps not keep doing good food.

Fab restaurant!
We opted to try everything so our bill was slightly higher, but in general a very affordable place to eat with extremely high quality seafood.
We had the scallops & black pudding and smoked salmon starters, as well as 3 oysters - all delicious! Then we had a 1/2 kilo of the mussels in blue cheese, and a 1/2 kilo of the Moroccan mussels as well - again all delicious!
Shout out to our waitress Reya who was lovely and super friendly, and even put up with our questions and how many mussels they sell per day (upwards of 5000 if you were wondering).
If you’re looking for seafood in Edinburgh no need to go anywhere else!

Seafood Chowder lezzetliydi, Shallot Mussel pot 1/2 söyledik bence gayet fazlaydı. Hatta yanlışlıkla tam porsiyon geldiğini düşündük. Günün ana yemeği de lezzetliydi. Rezervasyonu aynı gün içerisinde 1 buçuk saat sonraya yapıp gittik. Çalışanlar kibardı, servis hızlı ve yemekler parasını hak edecek lezzetteydi.

Sí quieres comer pescado de la zona...este es tu sitio, comida abundante y de calidad a un precio normal, para ser Edimburgo. Los mejillones, probamos de dos tipos, una pasada.
Encantadoras también las dos chicas que hablan castellano. Recomendable 100%.

We were in Edinburgh for the rugby match of Italy for Six Nations 2025. We passed by this restaurant on friday evening and booked a table for 3 on Saturday. The whole experience was great and the food was great as well.
A place to pay a visit again next time we will be back.

Definitely love it! The mussels are just gorgeous! The soup of the day was really great! A must visit Resto when you come to Edinburgh! :)

As always the mussel inn is my favourite go to in Edinburgh and was there this past weekend . After a couple days I thought I needed to clarify with the young tall waitress that decided she no longer wanted to serve us because I asked for bottled water. I have ADPKD which causes me to require drinking 4-6 litre's of water per day. As there is chlorine disinfectant used in Scottish water, that can cause me to lose kidney function and as I am down 30% already, I remain vigilante . I also have very low serum sodium so it is important to have extra minerals in the water to make up for what I lose by drinking so much water daily. It was very clear that she was offended by my asking to not drink tap water. I have a well at home and always drink tap water and prefer it to bottled water. However raised in Ontario Canada , and having public water with chlorine disinfectant , I can taste it right away.
I am sorry if your feelings were hurt but my kidney health takes precedence over your feelings in my opinion. I did want to clarify though as you just don’t know anyone’s story and in my opinion your assumption affected your day in a negative way.

모로칸 맛으로 하프 홍합팟, 파스타, sea bass 먹었어요.
직원분들 친절하세요. 파스타에는 꼭 레몬을 고수 주변에 뿌려서 드세요. 유럽 음식 안 맞아서 고생하다가 정말 살아났습니다 ㅠ (고수 안좋아하시면 싫으실 듯... 전 개인적으로 느끼함도 잡고 킥이라 생각)
홍합팟은 반만 시키셔도 될 것 같아요. 둘이 먹는데도 엄청 배불렀어요. 모로칸 맛이 생강이랑 고추가 들어가서 스파이시하고 맛있어요. 완전 한국인 입맛!! 강추입니다

I had a holidays with my friend and suddenly met this place. Absolutely incredible. Beautiful atmosphere. Amazing staff with very friendly.Mario you’re the best buddy. (Try to upsell me pinot noir 🥰) such a lovely dishes. Yum yum yum. I can’t forget that delicious seafood. Highly recommend visit again and again. Never regret. Good luck see you again guys♥️

Buen sitio para cenar , son amables , no es muy caro y la comida está buena , básicamente son comida del mar , mejillones , salmón , nuddels de gambas y esas cosas . Lo recomiendo

The food was amazing. We had seafood chowder, natural mussel, shellfish pasta, and tiger prawns. The servers were lovely as well. So glad we walkin and get a table without waiting because we went there quite late, I'd recommend getting a reservation just in case as they were quite full when we went. Highly recommend to come!!
